This is my cat Cherub, drawn the only way I know how, now colored.
She was a shelter cat which gave me that look ... you know the one ... and reached out of the cage. I truly believe they are trained to do that while they are in custody.
She is a very sweet cat, with gun metal grey fur, an extensive vocabulary due to her Siamese genes, and can never seem to get enough cuddle. She is a real credit to all those cats still looking for good homes.
I tried a lot of new techniques on this one, principle of them the modifying and coloring of the lines. Still need significant practice to get it right. I wish I could have done real fur for the tail and ears, but settled for the smudge technique in the interest of getting it done this year.
Comments that help me improve next time are most welcome.
pretty cool story there and one I can understand because of rescuing a cat myself earlyer on in the year. They do have a way of grabbing you lol.
As for the pic itself It's very good and I really like it. Somehow you've also got even better at eyes as well.. mix that with the hair and ears the whole thing looks great.
All in all good to see a new colourwork from you finished again after all this time.
I love this! she's so cute! Honestly, i think it looks great though i'm not a cat artist myself... but i still think it looks good ^.^
i wish my cat was still that cute... he's 8 pounds overweight and thinks he's a dog, and basically thinks he owns the house and we have to obey his every whim *rolls eyes*

Thank you. I used to have a cat like that too many years ago. Fortunately Cherub only wants control of one window........so far
